What I collect: If you use the contact form, I receive the details you enter (such as name, email address and message). My hosting provider, Squarespace, also processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information.

Why I use it: Squarespace uses technical data to deliver the site securely. I use contact form details only to respond to your enquiry. My legal basis for this is my legitimate interest in answering messages, or taking steps you request before entering a contract. I keep correspondence about possible and completed work for as long as it’s needed, as described below.

  • I keep correspondence that doesn’t result in us working together for up to 2 years.

  • I keep correspondence and information connected to projects I have worked on for up to 5 years following the completion of the project.

  • I keep contracts and legal agreements for as long as needed to protect my legal rights.

Who I share it with: My website is hosted by Squarespace, which processes data on my behalf and acts as an independent controller for some site usage data (see Squarespace’s privacy policy). Squarespace is US-based, so data may be transferred outside the EEA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Messages are forwarded to my email account, provided by Google (Gmail). Google may also process data outside the EEA under similar safeguards.

Cookies: This site uses one strictly necessary cookie (crumb) for security. I use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so no consent banner is needed.

Fonts: This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address and browser information.

Your rights: You can ask me to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. Contact me at omoldhamdorrington@gmail.com. You can also complain to Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).
